OEM / ODM delivery model

One project workflow from specification to release

The workflow is defined around the buyer’s data sheet, drawings, applicable standards, inspection plan and required document package.

  1. 01

    Requirement review

Valve type, medium, size, pressure class, materials, standards, drawings, inspection points and document requirements are consolidated.

  2. 02

    Engineering definition

Construction, trim, sealing, actuation, interfaces, marking and the document list are confirmed before release.

  3. 03

    Sample or first article

Tooling, samples or first-article verification can be agreed for new configurations or private-label programs.

  4. 04

    Controlled production

Incoming material, machining, assembly, NDT when specified and pressure testing follow the approved requirement set.

  5. 05

    Documented release

Final marking, packing and the agreed manufacturing record package are checked before dispatch authorization.

Engineering definition

Turn service conditions into a manufacturable valve requirement

SMD Valves’s engineering scope starts with the project specification. Analysis methods and calculations are confirmed only when included in the agreed technical scope.

Drawing & data-sheet review

Confirm the valve construction and identify conflicts between service conditions, project specifications and requested interfaces.

Material selection support

Align body, trim, seat and sealing materials with pressure, temperature, corrosion, abrasion and low-temperature requirements.

Actuation & accessories

Coordinate manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic actuation with available connection and control requirements.

Manufacturability review

Check dimensions, machining access, welding, assembly and inspection feasibility before production release.

Engineering requirements continue into traceable shop-floor inspection points.

Manufacturing sequence

Production capability shown stage by stage

Real factory images connect the capability statement to visible equipment, work areas and products.

Material receiving

STEP 01

Material receiving

Identification, document and surface-condition review before material release.

Material preparation

STEP 02

Material preparation

Organized casting and forging areas support controlled issue to production.

CNC machining

STEP 03

CNC machining

Machining centers produce bodies, bonnets, balls, stems and related valve components.

Welding & special construction

STEP 04

Welding & special construction

Welded valve constructions and related operations are completed in defined production areas.

Assembly & identification

STEP 05

Assembly & identification

Components are assembled, identified and prepared for inspection against the approved requirement set.

Pressure testing

STEP 06

Pressure testing

Shell, seat and functional tests are completed according to product and project requirements.

QA / QC evidence

Inspection capability linked to records

The exact inspection route is project-dependent. Applicable methods, acceptance criteria, hold points and witness requirements should be fixed in the approved ITP.

PMI / material verification

PMI / material verification

Portable spectrometry can be applied when material verification is specified.

Dimensional inspection

Dimensional inspection

CMM and dimensional instruments support critical component and interface checks.

Ultrasonic examination

Ultrasonic examination

UT can be included for applicable material or project inspection requirements.

Surface NDT

Surface NDT

Dye-penetrant or magnetic-particle examination can be specified for relevant components.

Pressure test equipment

Pressure test equipment

Dedicated pressure-test equipment supports shell and seat verification.

Fire-safe test capability

Fire-safe test capability

Fire-safe testing documentation is supplied only when included in the agreed product or project scope.

Project documentation

Agree the deliverable index before production

Document availability depends on the product, project, inspection plan and commercial scope. The RFQ should identify required approvals, reports and release records.

Submit your document list
Approved drawings and data sheets
Bill of materials or agreed material schedule
Material certificates and heat traceability
Dimensional and inspection records
Pressure and leakage test reports
NDT reports when specified

Completed SMD Valves trunnion ball valves

Private label & configured supply

Control product identity without losing manufacturing traceability

Branding, marking, finish, packaging and document templates are defined during requirement review and released only after approval.

  • Customer brand and approved nameplate layout
  • Body marking and serial-number logic
  • Specified paint system and color
  • Customer packaging and labeling
  • Product data sheets and inspection templates
  • Reserved drawing and project-document handling
