Drawing & data-sheet review
Confirm the valve construction and identify conflicts between service conditions, project specifications and requested interfaces.
Approval names reflect SMD Valves’s published certification scope. Buyers should request current copies and verify validity, product scope and issuing body before award.
OEM / ODM delivery model
The workflow is defined around the buyer’s data sheet, drawings, applicable standards, inspection plan and required document package.
Valve type, medium, size, pressure class, materials, standards, drawings, inspection points and document requirements are consolidated.
Construction, trim, sealing, actuation, interfaces, marking and the document list are confirmed before release.
Tooling, samples or first-article verification can be agreed for new configurations or private-label programs.
Incoming material, machining, assembly, NDT when specified and pressure testing follow the approved requirement set.
Final marking, packing and the agreed manufacturing record package are checked before dispatch authorization.
Engineering definition
SMD Valves’s engineering scope starts with the project specification. Analysis methods and calculations are confirmed only when included in the agreed technical scope.
Confirm the valve construction and identify conflicts between service conditions, project specifications and requested interfaces.
Align body, trim, seat and sealing materials with pressure, temperature, corrosion, abrasion and low-temperature requirements.
Coordinate manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic actuation with available connection and control requirements.
Check dimensions, machining access, welding, assembly and inspection feasibility before production release.

Manufacturing sequence
Real factory images connect the capability statement to visible equipment, work areas and products.

STEP 01
Identification, document and surface-condition review before material release.

STEP 02
Organized casting and forging areas support controlled issue to production.

STEP 03
Machining centers produce bodies, bonnets, balls, stems and related valve components.

STEP 04
Welded valve constructions and related operations are completed in defined production areas.

STEP 05
Components are assembled, identified and prepared for inspection against the approved requirement set.

STEP 06
Shell, seat and functional tests are completed according to product and project requirements.
QA / QC evidence
The exact inspection route is project-dependent. Applicable methods, acceptance criteria, hold points and witness requirements should be fixed in the approved ITP.

Portable spectrometry can be applied when material verification is specified.

CMM and dimensional instruments support critical component and interface checks.

UT can be included for applicable material or project inspection requirements.

Dye-penetrant or magnetic-particle examination can be specified for relevant components.

Dedicated pressure-test equipment supports shell and seat verification.

Fire-safe testing documentation is supplied only when included in the agreed product or project scope.
| Control area | Typical verification | Evidence for the project file |
|---|---|---|
| Material identity | MTC review, heat-number traceability, PMI when specified | Material certificates, traceability record, PMI record |
| Dimensions | Drawing dimensions and interface checks | Dimensional inspection record |
| Surface / volumetric NDT | PT, MT or UT when required by the agreed ITP | NDT report and operator records as applicable |
| Pressure & leakage | Shell, seat and functional testing to the applicable product standard | Pressure and leakage test report |
| Coating & marking | Color, nameplate, body marking and visual release checks | Final inspection and marking record |
| Customer / third-party witness | Hold and witness points defined before production | Signed inspection release or witness record |
Project documentation
Document availability depends on the product, project, inspection plan and commercial scope. The RFQ should identify required approvals, reports and release records.

Private label & configured supply
Branding, marking, finish, packaging and document templates are defined during requirement review and released only after approval.
Production lots
These factory images demonstrate completed production lots. Shipment, loading and destination claims require separate dated logistics evidence.
