Ball Valves

Ball Valves are selected for oil and gas isolation, refining, chemical processing, lng and high-pressure pipeline service. The correct configuration depends on pressure class, temperature, media, materials, end connection and inspection requirements. Choose floating, trunnion-mounted, metal-seated, cryogenic or fully welded designs by pressure class, bore, temperature, media and required fire-safe or anti-static features.

Typical service: Oil and gas isolation, refining, chemical processing, LNG and high-pressure pipeline service.
Selection points: Choose floating, trunnion-mounted, metal-seated, cryogenic or fully welded designs by pressure class, bore, temperature, media and required fire-safe or anti-static features.
Applicable standards: API 6D, API 608, ASME B16.34, ASME B16.10 and API 598; project specifications govern the final configuration.

Plant application

Oil & gas isolation / ESD

Function: Pipeline and process isolation. ESD packages only when the actuator, controls and SIL requirement are specified on the order.
Medium family: Hydrocarbons, produced water or injection gas — composition confirmed on the datasheet.
Pressure & temperature: Class, temperature and ends follow the approved piping class. Site capability is Class 150–2500; the listed SKU size still governs.
Applicable standards: API 6D / API 608 / ASME B16.34. NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 and fire-safe API 607 / 6FA only when specified.
Send with RFQ: Size, class, bore, body/trim, ends, operation, medium, temperature, NACE/fire-safe flags, ITP and MTR level.

Related application

Refining & petrochemical isolation

Function: Unit isolation. Not a substitute for a control valve on continuous throttling duty.
Medium family: Process hydrocarbons, steam and utilities. Soft seat vs metal seat follows medium and temperature.
Pressure & temperature: Pressure-temperature rating per ASME B16.34 / piping class. Shell and seat tests per API 598 or the project ITP.
Applicable standards: API 6D / ASME B16.34 / API 598. Project specification controls trim and leakage class.
Send with RFQ: Piping class, medium, temperature, seat type, ends, operation and inspection documents required.

Related application

LNG / low-temperature service (when specified)

Function: Cold-box or LNG isolation with extended bonnet when the project requires it.
Medium family: LNG, LPG or other low-temperature hydrocarbons listed on the datasheet.
Pressure & temperature: Cryogenic test temperature and soak procedure confirmed against the project specification. Do not assume −196 °C for every ball valve.
Applicable standards: BS 6364 or the project cryogenic procedure only when specified.
Send with RFQ: Minimum design temperature, extended-bonnet need, test procedure, material and documentation list.
